  1. Bill Rowe says:

Once you press the 30 sec, you can choose to cancel the 30 sec, and also at the bottom is a choice for twitter and fb. You can choose both.

  2. Culture is out of control nowadays there seems to be less accountability and way less morals values and ethical standards with definition and functional direction..At least thats how it seems in the USA

  3. @LelandBest I’ve got plenty hidden around here. Plus my wife is getting forgetful, so I think I could probably just grab something from the back of her drawer.

  4. VICKI… CAN YOU BRING UP ONE THING.. What do you think about Vince and a potential PRE-NUP to protect him? I think girls are a lot different TODAY than it used to be.

  5. VICKI and J.S., do you suggest VINCE to get a PRENUP to protect himself in a marriage? This newer generation is all about the money. What are your thoughts?

  6. Italian-American here, although raised Catholic, I don’t go to church.. but I still have my basic foundation. I could NEVER NEVER be with an Atheist. EVER. Different values.

  7. I’m a funeral director in Connecticut.. I am around SO MANY religions and with people involved with NO religions… I feel the same way. “To each their own”

  8. john insists that its not him, that it’s Colin. the point here is that religion serves the great purpose of providing a moral center for those who can’t find their own center, internally

  9. @vicki_fitch it’s just not ideal – it can be an obstacle to a harmonious marriage – it’s best to minimize obstacles where possible to make sure the marriage will work forever.

  10. @HegemonicAfflux wow – see that seems so difficult to me…. what do you base the decision on as a child? How do you just “decide” on that? Sounds like it worked out for you….

  11. My dad, a Muslim, always brought home the alcohol and said hey, just cause I dont drink it doesnt mean you cant. My mom goes to Church but only ever took me once a few years ago to check it out. To see both sides is an amazing opportunity and allowed me to criticize both sides in their own right

  12. This ability to openly discuss and listen these issues was what allowed an era where C.S. Lewis & J.R. Tolkien could ponder create deeply powerful text in groups like “The Inklings” at Oxford in the 1930-40s

  13. The ability to share and listen to deep belief and out of the box thought was what allowed JR Tolkien and CS Lewis to create amazing text and era of thought in the 1930’s at oxford.

  14. @docmuscles I was born with one. The head nurse spoke up, she said leave this one alone… my dad couldn’t figure it out what she meant. And she said that he’s bad to the bone

  15. @vincenzolandino excellent experience, got to meet people from all walks of life. My classmates included Middle Eastern royalty and fortune 500 CEO kids. It really brings up interesting perspectives

  16. I knew that if I stepped out of line, my father could slap me out of this time-continuum and wasn’t worried because he could make another one just like me . . .

  17. We live in a generation and society that has never seen famine, real war, and never been exposed to true classism Our generation doesn’t have any concept of what entitilement does over 30-40 years.

  18. Most people (men and women) don’t develop the “executive function” to differentiate between pleasure seeking and future planning until they are 25 years old.

  19. @hegemonicAfflux yes. Look at the development of the human mind. Most people don’t fully complete the higher “executive function” of development until around 25 years old.

  20. Have you been to medical school? It is my personal experience that many haven’t “fully” developed that judgement until after residency . . . Some have, but many have not.

  21. Vicki Fitch says:

@JamesMishreki Not on all BLABS this is a podcast so normally no but this is what you call the AfterBlab so we are talking random things. You can hop in if you aren’t a troll

  22. @hegemonicafflux when you get to developmental psychology, look at the research. This is where the addiction behaviors occur the worse – between 17-24. At 25 the executive function solidifies and you don’t see the addictive behaviors start unless they were formed between 12-24 years old.

  23. We had a rough time because in our daughters case we were a bit conditioned by her brain tumour operation at 12. You tend to give a bit of leeway in a situation like that.

  24. Reproving betimes with sharpness when moved upon by the spirit, then showing there-after an increase of love lest him whom thou has reproved esteem thee to be his enemy . . .

  25. The external stimulation is what increases the dopamine surge leading to the addictive behavior earlier then our generations ever experienced it. That is why we are seeing younger and younger addictions . . .
