With my disability, (not an excuse), I have a hard time discussing things when I’m upset, and it gets confusing for others to understand me
and I’ll often repeat myself
my hubby too… so direct it is often misunderstood and puts ppl on their back foot

Strictly from a “receiver’s side” the way to communicate to someone who is so very direct is to say: “when you say <*fill in the blank*> I am hearing : ” < blank> … and I feel

Being challenged with new ideas is sometimes a good thing. I know personally, that I need to have my cage rattled on a regular basis to shake me out of my complacency or my comfort zone

Vicki, thanks for continuing to be an inspiration for me and many others!
I used to coach and found it to be exhausting to work in “high D” mode ( I’m an “S” type personality in the DISC profile)
So I’m wrestling with the idea of getting “back out there”
not coaching…. but leading a women’s bible study or similar leadership role
